Hiek Van der Scheer, Chief Data and Analytics Officer at Aegon
Hiek is a passionate change leader focusing on digital, technology-led transformation. He has deep expertise on how businesses can derive value from data, analytics, artificial intelligence, and technology. In his current role, Hiek is responsible for Aegon’s worldwide data transformation. He has launched programs to build capabilities across the organization with a focus on skills as well as mindset and culture.
His previous positions include an Advanced Analytics & Big Data practice leadership role at McKinsey & Company. Hiek has experience in the insurance, banking, telecommunications, and utility sectors. Hiek has a Ph.D. in Econometrics from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.
